Terms of Service - Taxi Bookings

If you do not agree with all these terms and conditions, you must not transact on this Website. Once you have registered on this site, you have entered into a formal agreement with RUBY ASIA TRAVELS AND TOURS (PRIVATE) LIMITED. for the purpose of transactions on this website.

Payment

  • Payment on your credit card is processed by one of the three Payment Gateways (VISA/ MasterCard / American Express Payment Gateways).
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient funds in your nominated credit card to allow payment of the bookings selected by you through the Online booking service when the debit is made.

Refund

  • Will not refund, due to incorrect information provided by the customer, including but not limited to: date, time, and pickup place also identity document details and passenger information.
  • Please note that, if you cancel your taxi booking due to any natural disasters, current spreading disease and any decisions taken from Government and if you cancel, up to 48 hours before your taxi booking the cancellation charge is 8% of the price of the initial booking. If you cancel, between 48 and 24 hours before your taxi booking the cancellation charge is 50% of the price of the initial booking. If you cancel, within 24 hours before your taxi booking, the cancellation charge is 100% of the price of the initial booking. Also please note that we are doing service for customer’s requirements.

Other Conditions

  • Incorrect information supplied in the online booking, e-mail or any form of direct contact.
  • If you do not show up at the agreed time and pickup point.
  • If you have excess luggage we have not been informed about, you may be refused to travel with us.
  • If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail from us confirming your travel details and times with RUBY ASIA TRAVELS AND TOURS (PRIVATE) LIMITED.
  • If your conduct is unacceptable in our vehicles, towards the driver, you may be refused to travel with us and behave in manner that you would expect others to behave towards you.
  • You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi with us, to allow for the check-in times required by your airline.
  • No drinking, eating specially smoking in permitted in our vehicles; and anyone who is under the influence of alcoholic drink or other drugs may be refused to travel with us.
  • We have implemented several control mechanisms in the booking process and first contact to eradicate problems later on.
  • Good communication regarding delays and cancellations on the traveller’s part is vital. Reliable service is a priority, we aim to arrive early at every booking that requires our customers to be punctual at their pickup point.
  • The planning process also aims to leave out stress situations for the drivers, this has a direct effect on road safety and passenger comfort.
  • RUBY ASIA TRAVELS AND TOURS (PRIVATE) LIMITED. does not take any responsibility of your lost luggage and it is your responsibility to check them before and after traveling.
  • If passengers require to schedule a pickup to return to the airport,
    1. Return journey will start after our driver’s rest. The resting time will be decided according to the journey time. Normally it is half of the journey time.
    2. A Passenger is free to wait at a place for a time as similar as the journey duration, but we will charge USD $2 for each and every extra hour until maximum of 12 hours.
    3. If a passenger requires a 12 to 24 hours waiting time, US $20 will add to the total bill as overnight.
    4. If waiting time exceed 24 hours our driver does not wait, and we will send you a vehicle for return and do not cost any waiting chargers to your bill.
  • You must obtain appropriate Travel Insurance prior to travel by taking out travel insurance you are essentially covering yourself against travel risks such as lost or stolen luggage, cancellation cover (should you not be able to travel due to unexpected medical reasons) and most importantly, unexpected medical costs.
  • We will wait approx. 2 hours after your landing time in Airport. Should there be a problem with luggage, advise us by sending 1 member of your party to find us in arrivals we will be happy to wait for you.

Cancellation

  • If for whatever reason you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us directly on e-mail or contact number we had provided at contact section and minimum of 12 hours before the day schedule transfer.
  • Refunds will be made according to the initial method of payment and currency used at time of purchase. Refund payment date is subject to bank or credit card provider.
  • Cancellations less than 12 hours before the scheduled time of the transfer indicated on your booking vouchers in advance will still be charged at full price quoted (no refund).

Luggage

  • Luggage should not be exceeding the vehicle trunk space. Any extra luggage requirement must be notified during booking.
  • Surfing boards.
  • Suitable baby seats can be provided by prior request only.

Insurance and Guarantees

  • We are a fully licensed Sri Lankan transfer company.
  • Our company is having a liability insurance.
  • While we will do everything, we can ensure that we get to your destination on time in according to that there are circumstances out with our control for which accept no responsibility for, these are as follows, but not limited to:
    1. Weather conditions
    2. Excessive traffic
    3. Road closures
    4. Mechanical Failures
  • We guarantee your safety full time except in unavoidable situations.
  • Our drivers complete a daily check form on the fundamental safety of their vehicles: mechanical, electrical, tires and overall cleanliness.

Shared Taxi

  • If sharing is available, we will confirm pickup point and the exact pickup time prior to your journey depart.
  • Without the consent of your driver and other sharing taxi passengers, prearrange shared taxi transfer cannot wait after agreed scheduled collection time.
  • No refund is made at any time for cancellation of any agreed seat in shared taxi unless a replacement passenger is found.
  • All passengers should co-operate with other passengers.

Standard of Service

We will supply the service to you with reasonable care and skill. We believe that constant evaluation secures a high level of service.

Pricing Policy

All prices are in American Dollars (USD) and must be paid in American Dollars (USD). The prices quoted on this Reservation Service are in American Dollars. If you choose to pay for your ticket using a foreign credit or debit card, you will be responsible for the exchange rate, and you are advised that changes to your journey or refunds may be affected by such exchange rate.
